The HERON companies acquired their name from the Alexandrian engineer namely Heron, who lived around 100 A.D. Heron was a scholar of Ktisivos and Filonas and evolved to one of the most important and recognized engineers and mathematicians of his time. His crafts and automations have renown him amongst the largest and most important individuals in science in ancient times and he has rightly been considered by some, as the spiritual predecessor of Leonardo Da Vinci, who seems to have studied him meticulously.
