MODE OF CALCULATION OF ESTIMATED CONSUMPTION
HERON applies a clearer, friendlier and simpler mode for calculating “estimated consumption bills”. This does more than merely allowing you to cross-reference details – it also gives you the ability to calculate estimated consumption amounts yourself before your estimated bills are issued.

ESTIMATED BILL FAQs
HERON established a clearer and fairer way for calculating estimated bills, so the amounts will correspond to actual consumption. This allows you to calculate and prioritise everything in your life clearly and not by estimation.
Are estimated daily consumptions fixed?
No. A new calculation takes place with each issuance of actual consumption bills, in order for estimated bills to always follow your new consumption profiles.
Are there any other changes made in how estimated bills are calculated?
No. The only thing changed is the mode for calculating estimated consumption, namely the estimated consumption of electricity in kWh.
Does this method affect the calculation process of actual consumption for my supply connection?
No. The process is the same as it always was – your actual consumption is still metered by HEDNO every four months (except for supply connections with monthly metering) and its value is offset (deducted) against the final amount of your respective actual consumption.
Why is there an indication of “daily consumption of next estimated bills” in my actual consumption bill, when I have a monthly metering / actual calculation cycle?
In rare cases where we are incapable of issuing actual consumption bills (e.g. due to metering inability), we issue estimated bills.
How is daily consumption calculated if there are no actual consumption bills issued by HERON?
By taking into account daily consumption according to the type of bill and the agreed capacity of your supply connection, as indicated here.
