We would like to inform you that HERON will proceed to credit the 1% Special Tax for Renewable Energy Sources for the years from 2015 up to and including 2019...
We would like to inform you that HERON will proceed to credit the 1% Special Tax for Renewable Energy Sources for the years 2015 up to and including 2019 to all persons eligible for this credit, in application of article 4 of the Joint Ministerial Resolution with reference no YPEN/DAPEEK/48653/1597 (published in the Official Government Gazette of the Hellenic Republic (FΕΚ) no 2172/Β/07.06.2019).
More specifically:
- A) As regards persons who are eligible for the 1% Special RES Tax for the 2015-2019, who remain Active Subscribing Customers of HERON, their corresponding amounts will be credited through their Consumption Bills for the month of June 2021, and this credit will more specifically be listed in the section “Supplementary Amounts Credited / Debited (C)” on the second (2nd) page of the Bill, with a header that will read “Discount in electricity due to R.E.S. in your Area”.
- B) As regards persons who are eligible for the 1% Special RES Tax for the 2015-2019 period, yet are no longer Active Subscribing Customers of HERON, they will be issued a “Special Bill” that will list the amount of the 1% Special RES Tax attributable to them, which will be delivered to them, and if there is any balance, after offsetting the amount of the RES Tax against any outstanding amounts due to our Company, it will be credited to a bank account of their choice.
Am I eligible for the credit of the 1% Special RES Tax for the years from 2015 to 2019?
The persons who are eligible are consumers in areas with operating RES power plants, in application of the provisions of article 4, section 8 of the Joint Ministerial Resolution with reference no YPEN/DAPEEK/48653/1597 (published in FEK 2172/B/07/06/2019).
Subsequently to the conclusion of the process for determining the persons who are eligible and their respective attributable amounts for cases of RES power plants for which there are no pending appeals, HERON received from the Network Operator (HEDNO) a file with the eligible persons who were Subscribing Customers at the date of publication of the “Final Table of allotment of amounts from RES Power Plants in one or more Municipal or Local Communities for the years 2015-2019”, which was published in Ministerial Resolution YPEN/DAPEEK/74976/2999 (FEK 3154/B/31.07.2020), along with the amounts which are attributable to such persons.
